From London to Lagos: Nigerian lady, Pelumi Nubi Will Attempt To Travel By Road

#London2LagosByRoad: Embarking on a thrilling journey with Pelumi Nubi, a 29-year-old Nigerian adventurer based in the UK, as she attempts a daring feat—travelling from the bustling streets of London all the way to the vibrant city of Lagos by road.

This audacious solo road trip isn’t just about ticking destinations off a list for Pelumi, who has already explored 80 countries. It’s a bold venture fueled by the sheer joy of adventure, a mission to inspire fellow female solo travelers, especially black women, and a determination to challenge preconceived notions about the limits of possibility.

Why London to Lagos by car? For Pelumi, it’s all about showcasing what people can achieve and broadening horizons. Many may not be aware that the journey from London to Lagos is a viable road trip.

So, what’s the grand plan? Over two months, Pelumi will traverse 17 nations, immersing herself in the diverse cities and landscapes along the way. The route spans from England through France, Spain, Morocco, the expansive West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, and Benin before reaching the triumphant destination of Lagos.

The epic expedition kicks off on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, and concludes at the end of March. This isn’t Pelumi’s first rodeo; she’s already conquered the Lagos-Ghana route twice, explored Namibia for two weeks, and driven from London to Lake Como, Italy.

Undoubtedly, such an ambitious undertaking requires substantial funding, with Pelumi estimating a total cost between $15,000 and $20,000 covering transportation, accommodation, and essentials. A year of meticulous planning and personal finances has laid the groundwork, but Pelumi is reaching out for collaboration and support to make this extraordinary expedition a reality.

Join the adventure by supporting Pelumi and using the hashtag #London2LagosByRoad as she takes on this exhilarating road trip that promises to be nothing short of extraordinary.
