A former Arsenal player has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. Tyrell Robinson, who now plays for Bradford City, was suspended by his club over the allegations yesterday.
And it has now emerged that he was held at Macclesfield Town’s Moss Rose ground on Tuesday by Cheshire Police. He is alleged to have been involved in a serious sexual assault in Bradford the previous day, according to Mail Online.
A club statement yesterday read: “Tyrell Robinson has been suspended with immediate effect.“Bradford City Football Club will be making no further comment at this time.”
Robinson, who can play left-back or left-wing, was earmarked for big things this season under rookie manager Michael Collins, but his future at the club now appears to be in severe jeopardy.
